The electric model is called e-2008 and has a boot capacity of 405* liters. Boot space At 434 litres, the e-2008’s boot capacity is ever so slightly short of that in the Kia e-Niro, but for context is still usefully more than you get in something like a Ford Focus or Volkswagen Golf. There’s enough for a small holiday, but rivals such as the Skoda Kamiq, Volkswagen T-Cross and Renault Captur offer more room.
The 2008’s rear seats split and fold in a 60/40 configuration but there’s no option of a more practical 40/20/40 setup (such as you can have in the Mini Countryman), a ski hatch (you get that with the Volkswagen T-Roc) or a sliding rear bench (a feature of the Volkswagen T-Cross). In the boot, there’s 405 litres of space, which is the same as the regular 2008 (pictured) when the boot floor is in its highest position. Once inside you’ll find ample leg room (although the palatial Skoda Kamiq has more) but head room is limited by the sloping roofline, and things get worse if you add the optional sunroof. Front passenger seat height adjustment is standard from mid-spec Allure upwards, but there's no option of adjustable lumbar support for the passenger on any of the trims. The e-2008 does without the ability to lower the floor, though, so doesn’t have quite the same outright capacity with the seats in place. There’s also a decent amount of storage space, including door pockets, a deep cubbyhole between the seats, a couple of cupholders and a tray at the bottom of the dashboard. From the outside it appears a compact car – it certainly looks lower and more stanced than before, but should be roomier inside.
