While I'm not entirely sure how you can make it go 64-bit sans steam, I'm pretty sure there's a few ways of directly avoiding the launcher by stuffing a few lines of code into Notepad and calling it a .bat file, which sets AION directly to 64-bit when launched and avoids the launcher initialization time. I notice many companies refuse to put games onto steam due to the cost. :). I love it, too, and have for many years but at the same time I hate it. I've heard that Aion is getting back on steam (the EU version) and because I am from EU i thought i'd check it out (because before i only played on NA servers), but i can't find it on steam.
